Private Practice Surgical Group Seeks Skilled Surgical Oncologist Knoxville

Private practice group is recruiting a fellowship trained Surgical Oncologist or Hepatobiliary surgeon to join a well-established team of thirty-two surgeons.  Physician in the group value the independent practice of medicine and believe that the independent practice model provides patients with the highest quality of care. Independent practice provides physicians the freedom to practice, giving patients the widest range of healthcare options.  This group is the area’s largest private, independent surgical group in the area.  This position will be joining a well-established surgical oncology practice with two surgical oncologists, a colorectal surgeon, and MIS foregut specialist, based at the tertiary referral center with a large established outpatient referral base.  Depending on training and interest, surgical opportunities include pancreas and hepatobiliary, skin cancer and soft tissue sarcoma, as well as colorectal disease. The facility has a robust robotic surgery program as well.  You will be supported by a full-time surgicalist program reducing call burden and clinic interruptions.  Multiple tumor conferences each month across the system.  Position comes with competitive salary, partnership track, group health, dental, life, disability, and retirement benefits, Annual CME allowance, relocation package.  There are growth and leadership opportunities with both the private practice and the healthcare system’s regional cancer program.  The group provides all aspects of renal care including inpatient and outpatient, AKI/CKD care, peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, plasmapheresis, CRRT, and pre and post follow-up kidney transplant patients.  This opportunity is located at a state of the art regional medical center that is a tertiary regional referral center for stroke, neurosurgery, orthopedics, oncology, cardiology, neurology, surgery and obstetrics.  With a team of more than 350 physicians in 45 specialties and more than 1,800 employees, we use a multidisciplinary approach to provide comprehensive, individualized patient care.  Facility is licensed for 500 beds, 45 emergency room beds and a radiology suite within the department, 72 critical care beds (including Cardiovascular ICU, Medical-Surgical ICU and Neuro-ICU, most with tele-ICU capability), 16 surgery suites, 5 cath labs, part of the award-winning Heart Center, Triage rooms, antepartum suites, labor and delivery suites and mother/baby rooms.  Position comes with a highly competitive compensation and benefits package.
