Experienced Employed Spine Surgeon Eastern NC 1 Hour from Raleigh

The department of Neurosurgery and Spine Center are seeking an experienced Neurosurgeon with training in minimally invasive spine surgery to develop a minimally invasive spine surgery program. The team consists of 9 neurosurgeons and 7 nurse practitioners and physician assistants. The hospital is a 900 bed tertiary center and level 1 trauma facility. The Neuroscience Program uses a multidisciplinary approach to provide a range of services to include diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders. The hospital has specialty-trained staff in nursing, neurology, general neurosurgery, pediatric neurosurgery, vascular and endovascular neurosurgery, complex spine surgery, neuroradiology (including 24/7 in-house neuroradiology coverage), neuro-critical care and neuro-oncology. The Neuroscience team takes great pride in their patient- and family-centered approach to care, which promotes optimization of patient outcomes. Large 29-county referral network including over 110 health practices. Neuroscience team of 9 neurosurgeons, an interventional neurologist, inpatient stroke neurologists, neurointensivists, neurologists and a large team of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. There is a 24-bed NSICU as well as a large rehab center providing both inpatient and outpatient support to neuroscience patients. Team of dedicated NSICU NP/PA’s providing 24/7 coverage. Strong investment in neuroscience technology including a Medtronic O-arm, Mazor Robot, Airo intraoperative CT, 2 BrainLab systems and 2 Stealth Stations. Over 1,600 neurological cases performed annually including complex spine and brain tumor resections. Position comes with a highly competitive compensation and benefit package.
