Pulmonologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
- The Pulmonologist performs procedures such as: Thoracentesis, Central line placement, Arterial line placements, Bronchoscopies, Bedside bronchoscopies, Intubation procedures, Patient rounding., Bedside echo, PFT interpretations.
- Providing inpatient consultation, available 24/7 for all inpatient care.
- Being reachable for consultative care at the request of a referring physician to discuss a patient's case, ensuring timely care.
- The Pulmonologist provides on-call services.
- Reviewing consults and triaging daily.
- Following all established medication policies and procedures.
- Providing discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting for emergency department patients.
- The Pulmonologist offers post-procedure evaluation, follow-up, and clinical consultation regarding complications of procedures.
Pulmonologist - REQUIREMENTS
- Must have successfully completed an accredited residency and fellowship program.
- Must have 3 years' experience as a Pulmonologist.
- Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited graduate school of medicine.
- Must have 3 years' experience as a Pulmonologist.
- Shall Board Certified /Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary.
- Must have and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA).
