Associate Director of Psychiatry
Salary: 275k-300k
The hospital’s Department of Psychiatry provides comprehensive outpatient and inpatient mental health services, addiction treatment programs and crisis services at both hospitals; outpatient services at several sites in Westchester County; and residential services in four boroughs of New York City and in Westchester. The organization is one of the largest behavioral health services providers in New York State.
Position Overview:
Associate Director of Psychiatry is the site director for one of the two hospitals behavioral health departments. The Associate Director time is 80% administrative duties and 20% clinical responsibilities. The Associate Director oversees all the behavioral health services for one of the two hospitals. The behavioral health services include:
• 29-bed Inpatient Psychiatric Unit providing a comprehensive treatment program for adults.
• Emergency Department with acute psychiatric symptoms, services include crisis intervention, psychopharmacology and referral to appropriate outpatient or inpatient psychiatric services.
• Crisis Prevention and Response Team (CPRT) an interdisciplinary mobile team of mental health professionals (social workers, a child and family specialist and a psychiatrist).
• The Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program for patients 18 years old and older who are involved in long-term opiate abuse.
Minimum Qualifications Preferred:
• Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• 7 years of practice experience
• 3 years of leadership experience
