Board Certified or Eligible Psychiatrist needed to join a dedicated group of healthcare professionals primarily caring for our veterans in Kentucky.

- Expectations are 1 hour initial patient consult and 30 min f/u
- Examine patient for symptoms of organic congenital or acquired disorders and determines nature and extent performs comprehensive examinations referring to diagnostic tests and utilizes medical instruments and equipment when appropriate; documents all medical information into the patient’s electronics medical record
- Order and perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures and interpret test results for deviations from normal and provides follow up care
- Prescribe medication and recommend dietary and activity program as indicated by diagnosis
- Refer patient to the VA medical specialist when indicated
- Develop and implement patient management plans and assists in provision of continuity of care through the PCMM (Primary Care Management Module)
- Evaluate patients records from medical providers outside the VA and works with these patients utilizing rules set forth by the VA for co-managed care
- Supervise and evaluates Psychologists and Social Workers working in collaborative practice
- Responsible for participating in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement activities and staff meetings.
We are work with patients who primarily suffer from PTSD anxiety and other chronic disease management issues.
