Physician – Psychiatrist (Outpatient) 200K+
Lake County, Indiana
Community mental health center is currently looking for a Board Eligible/Certified Psychiatrist with an interest in outpatient psychiatry to fill an opening in northwest Indiana. Ideal candidates will hold a current unrestricted license in the state of Indiana or applied and have Board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry. Psychiatry residents and fellows are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities of the Physician – Psychiatrist (Outpatient)
- 100% outpatient care to adults patients.
- Provide 20-30 minute medication management and 60-90 minute initial evaluations.
- Call rotated between 10 psychiatrists.
- Perform Evaluations and Medical Checks.
- Provide Education to patients, families, and the community.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements of the Physician – Psychiatrist (Outpatient)
- Medical degree; M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program
- Licensed for the practice of medicine in the State of Indiana OR able to obtain
- Board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry
- Experience with EHR is preferred

- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately and set appropriate boundaries and limits with clients

The starting annual salary for the Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist is $200,000+ depending on experience and certification.
