We are looking for a full time Hospital Medical Director for Western Colorado.


Our director participates and collaborates with multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive psychiatric services. Demonstrates advanced application of psychiatric and pharmacologic knowledge, skills, critical thinking and analysis.


You will also demonstrate leadership by providing perspective in problem solving, decision making, and planning activities to achieve patient outcomes. You will consult with staff as necessary to instruct them on clinical interventions necessary for achieving quality patient outcomes.


To qualify for the position of Hospital Medical Director you must be certified or eligible for Board Certification in Psychiatry; Colorado licensed physician required. You will need minimum three (3) years’ experience in hospital or mental health setting, including one (1) year of management experience.


Located 28 miles east of the Utah border at the junction of the Colorado and Gunnison rivers, this location is an oasis in the desert.  Between the towering rock formations and beautiful and lush mountain ranges, the unique landscape and climate provide for unlimited outdoor recreation activities. You can choose activities from winter skiing to mountain biking, fishing, rock climbing, and camping all for your enjoyment year around. 


The area also hosts several community and cultural events throughout the year including a college baseball World Series, regular performances of the exceptional symphony, and wine tasting at any of the fine vineyards in the valley.

This position is specific for a Board Prepared or Board Certified Psychiatrist.  Requirements then are that the successful candidate would have a degree as an M.D. or D.O. with proven residency training in Psychiatry.
