*Need is for locum tenens psychiatrist starting ASAP and ongoing *All adult inpatient/chemical dependency and partial hospitalization. *Hours 8-5 M-F, 40 hours per week . *Knowledge and familiarity of Suboxone *Call is shared 1 in 2 for nights and weekends (6 days of call for the first 3 weeks, then 3 on, 4 off sharing call with another psychiatrist). *For Weekend Call: No partial patients on weekends. Inpatient – see each patient of the 24 average daily census on both Saturday and Sunday, then on-call after that. Basically, double check medications; not a lot of discharging on weekends, but there could be some new admissions. *28 bed acute adult inpatient unit. *Average daily census is 24 patients covered by 1.4 FTE who cover both inpatient and the Client’s partial program. *Average daily caseload is 12 inpatients per doctor plus 6 patients per day for partial hospitalization. *Average length of stay is 4 days. *Physicals for H&Ps for new admissions are done by an internist or a P.A., not by the locum tenens psychiatrist. *Hospital credentialing / privileging will be expedited within a week or so. * electronic medical record system, so candidates must be computer literate. *Candidates MUST have a current/active California license!
