The Institute for Western Surgery (IWS) is the only foreign specialty health care provider in China. Started in 2010 in South China, IWS has expanded to Shanghai and grown from one orthopedist visiting every 6 weeks to a full time staff of 3 orthopedic specialists. There is no emergency call and a busy practice in China is seeing 15-20 patients a day in modern English speaking clinics and hospitals, giving you time to actually treat and care for patients as individuals.
