This multi-facility health system in Georgia is currently seeking board certified orthopedic surgeons for our facility in Jasper, GA. The job opportunities provide a path to begin a new journey for eligible candidates and becoming part of a nationally recognized healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will be board certified with three to five years of experience and training in major joint surgery. The physician must also possess the skill set to perform routine general orthopedic procedures. The best candidate suited for this position will want to pursue an interest in the community surrounding Jasper and also possess leadership skills to develop the orthopedic program as a whole.
The facility also opened a free-standing emergency department in Ellijay, Georgia, in fiscal year 2017. That facility, which operates as an extension of the emergency department at the Hospital, provides 24-hour access to emergency physicians, nurses, labs and radiology technicians. Piedmont Mountainside Emergency Services at Ellijay offers similar services to a hospital-based emergency department, like moderate complexity blood testing and advanced imaging, and provides care for most emergency illnesses such as heart attack, stroke and minor trauma.
