Practice Details

Provides emergency evaluation and first aid treatment in order to save life, relieve suffering and maximize stability. Provide initial evaluation and treatment for all personnel who sustain an on-the-job injury or occupational illness Administers medications furnished by the employee on a visit to the unit if medication is covered by a prescription from the individual's private physician (e.g. allergy shots). Administers treatments covered by an order from the individual's private physician. Health maintenance, job fitness, medical surveillance, and regulatory required examinations are performed. Administers immunizations Responds to the command post of an emergency Establishes and conducts a Health Education Program Serves as Medical Review Officer (MRO) in the Drug Free Workplace Program. Maintains medical records of all examinations in the Government’s electronic health record system Develops and updates all policies and procedures of the health unit
