Practice Details

Bucksport, Maine: We seek a confident Primary Care physician to join a well-established Federally Qualified Health Center as their Medical Director. Physicians trained in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or IM/Peds are all encouraged to apply. Come to this desirable town on a scenic river where it meets to the beautiful Maine coast and provide clinical leadership to their team of physicians, NPs and PAs. You will oversee the entire clinician program and lead quality improvement efforts with the goal of providing excellent emotional and physical healthcare to regional patients of all ages.

 

Located just half an hour south of Bangor, Maine’s third largest city, this practice offers outpatient primary care to people of all ages, with an emphasis on geriatrics, along with behavioral health and dental services. You will be impressed by their integrated medical/mental health program, and their pharmaceutical-free services in pain management, too. In addition to scheduled primary care, this practice offers urgent care/walk-in services for the convenience of their patients. An ideal candidate will have experience directing medical services and will be familiar with the FQHC environment. In this hands-on role, you will split your time about 80/20 clinical/administrative. Enjoy a friendly and collaborative environment, and a convenient schedule – your choice of four or five days/week.
