St. Thomas Community Health Center, a premier FQHC located in New Orleans is seeking primary care physician due to continued growth. They are proud to be recognized by the National Center for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) which is the NCQA gold-standard for measuring quality care.
A new primary care physician can expected to build a practice quickly, a full caseload is typically 20+ patients daily and they are flexible regarding location and scheduling. Each physician has dedicated staff generally consisting of 2 medical assistants and shared support from an RN.
Their physicians do not have hospital coverage responsibilities. They do have evening phone coverage from clinic patients. That coverage is rotated among the providers 10 physicians & 10 Nurse practitioners and is extremely limited. They are not responsible nor do they need to be available for hospital admits or hospital consults. The phone call coverage rotates both on weekends and weekdays between all providers.
