Contract Internal Medicine: General Job in St. Petersburg, Florida
This General Internal Medicine opportunity in St. Petersburg, Florida is offered as a contract arrangement. Under this structure, you would be engaged as an independent contractor rather than an employee — typically paid on a 1099 basis under a defined agreement covering term, schedule, and rate. You would handle your own benefits and generally your own retirement and tax withholding, with malpractice terms set by the specific agreement. This arrangement can offer flexibility in exchange for fewer employer-provided benefits.
This same role is also listed under several other practice structures, including solo-independent, single-specialty group, multi-specialty group, hospital/clinic/MSO employment, and community health center/FQHC settings, so the contract option described here is one of multiple ways this position can be structured.
The financial offering for this position is listed in the $200,000–$224,999 range. There is no emergency department call associated with this role. Candidates may be board certified or board eligible, MD or DO trained, and either AMG or FMG, spanning a range of experience levels from recently trained to very experienced.
