Job Description:
Our client is looking for an Internal Medicine Physician to fill a permanent or locum position at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Mira Mesa. The qualified physician will provide the full scope of primary care services, including diagnosis treatment, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Essential duties and responsibilities include: provide medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating of clinical patients to meet their medical needs, educate patients on wellness, prevention and early detection by providing materials and resources to the patients and families, determine which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs, determine level of urgency of follow-up appointments, exercise final medical judgment in all issues of health care, prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients, order studies and tests, document all services in patient medical record, participate in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other programs, oversee midlevel staff, and assist in the resolution of complaints, requests and inquiries. The physician will also contribute to the success of the organization by participating in quality improvement activities, maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, and be a team player and cooperate in accomplishing department goals and objectives. Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited school. Minimum of two years of direct work or intern experience. Valid California MD or DO license. Current DEA and DPS certificate of registration. Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine. CPR certified.
