Hospitalist Options These are the two options we’ve been working with for hospitalist proposals. Option 1 (Short term, Temporary Type of Contract) Option 1 is a professional services agreement with a Hospitalist not interested in relocating to Wyoming but willing to contract with us directly until our new physician starts employment. $2,050 per shift ($30,000 per month x 12 months= $360,000/182 total shifts per year= $1,978 per shift plus malpractice insurance). Shifts are 24 hour (12 in house and 12 on call). 7 on and 7 off Hospital provide in house lodging or hotel if needed Physician responsible for flights, meals, and medical malpractice insurance 1 year contract, 90 day out for either party (or perhaps an 18 month contract if they are interested) Option 2 (Long Term Employed Model Contract): Option 2 is an employment agreement offered to someone who wants to relocate to Wyoming and integrate into the community, long term option, with additional recruiting incentives for a new provider who will have permanent residency in the community. 3-4 year contract For this employment model, we can get to $260,000 with the shift rate of $1,483 plus $100 quality bonus per shift, 14 shifts per month. Full hospital employed benefits health, dental, vision, 401k and malpractice insurance included $30,000 - $50,000 sign on bonus $7,500 - $15,000 relocation $6,000 CME, 5 days Education Stipend Loan Assistance negotiable Option of malpractice tail insurance if needed
