The incumbent will function as a member of the inter-disciplinary team providing clinical care to patients in an inpatient setting. As an attending physician, the responsibilities include providing medical evaluation and directing overall management of patients in collaboration with other members of the health care team. The incumbent will be expected to provide Urgent Care during the shift or limited hour coverage for the Emergency Department depending on the setting. Support from pulmonary/crucial care, cardiology, neurology, and other medical and surgical specialties is available on a 24/7 basis by phone and/or Tele ICU. The incumbent will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care outcomes; providing a full range of care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavior problems; and accountable for meeting and maintaining the qualification standards and functional statements of completion of work, a demonstrated ability to assume leadership in patient centered program, and the ability to establish effective communication with patients, families, visitors and members of the interdisciplinary team.
