Academic Hospitalist: Internal Medicine Job in Tallahassee, Florida
This hospitalist position in Tallahassee, Florida is offered, among other options, as an academic arrangement. In this structure, you would practice within a teaching institution setting — a university, academic medical center, or affiliated program — where clinical work is combined with teaching and often research. Compensation in academic roles is typically salaried through the institution, with advancement following an academic track, and these positions can appeal to physicians who want residents and students involved in their clinical day alongside institutional resources and scholarly activity.
This same role is also listed under several other practice structures — including solo-independent, single- and multi-specialty group, hospital/clinic employment, community health center/FQHC, contract, part-time, and administrative/medical director arrangements — so the academic option represents one way this position can be structured, not the only one.
The financial offering for this listing is noted as Open, and the position carries no emergency department call. This is a permanent role in the internal medicine hospitalist specialty.
