• 7 am - 5 pm in-house shifts with 5 pm - 7 am pager call
• Average daily census of 8 patients
• Inpatient, observation, and skilled nursing care
• First assist for C-sections required
• Primarily adult patients -- less than 10% pediatric care
• Newborn call responsibilities included
• Nursing home and emergent outpatient call coverage required
• Coverage needed for multiple blocks between fall and winter
