Recruiting a Palliative Care physician for a hospital-employed position in Texas. This is a new program and will be part of a hospital-affiliated multi-specialty group, working as an extension of the Hospitalist group. There is a defined need for Palliative Care in the community, so the incoming physician would likely have a rapid start-up (estimating 10 - 15 patients per day within the first year). The physician will be paired with a mid-level provider to provide initial consults and support the hospitalists from a palliative perspective, with the ultimate goal being an improved quality of patient care and a lowered length of stay. This is an excellent opportunity to build a successful new practice in a collaborative environment with a strong referral base and an emphasis on quality patient care. The physician will also serve as Medical Director overseeing Case Management. Ideal candidates must be Board certified or recently Board eligible. Spanish-speaking ability a plus but not required. Compensation package will be competitive and includes a base salary with wRVU production bonus, benefits and sign on bonus.
