Practice Details

Immediate opening in the Gainesville area  of Florida for a Primary Care/Hospice/Palliative Physician MD/DO.


Prefer Board Certified candidate but would consider a Board Eligible candidate in the process of taking exam soon.

  • The physician will manage  patients for inpatient and outpatient for hospice
  • Will coordinate the care, family meeting, admin work required for patients 
  • On call - 1:7, days and nights.


Responsibilities of the Primary Care/Hospice/Palliative Physician MD/DO​:

  • Provide medical direction and supervision of patient care
  • Provide instruction and medical support to Hospice staff
  • Develop and implement education and consultation services to medical communities, professionals and physicians the service areas.
  • Provide periodic Palliative care consultation to the affiliated medical centers, nursing homes, and clinics.


Requirements of the Primary Care/Hospice/Palliative Physician MD/DO​:

  • Doctor of medicine or osteopathy required.
  • Current Florida license required.or in the process of obtaining FL license 
  • Board Certified; will consider Board Eligible in the process of taking exam
  • Hospice and Palliative Care Certification, preferred. 
  • Florida driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • Experience  Requires Oncology or palliative care with emphasis on control of symptoms associated with terminal illness, preferred.  
  • Ability to embrace individuals from all walks of life.
