Practice Details

Seeking a full time board certified or board eligible gastroenterologist to join an existing hospital-employed practice. Join one gastroenterologist and a nurse practitioner to meet the growing need within the community. Current physician is succession planning for retirement within next 2 years. General gastroenterology will be the primary focus of this practice with a preference for capabilities to perform ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography). Plan to see 25-35 patients per day in the office with a call schedule of 1:3 (required 10 days by bylaws). Current physician’s volume for scopes is approximately 80-90 per month on average. Office located adjacent to hospital for easy access to Endoscopy Suite. One fully equipped endoscopy suite with Olympus equipment. Highly trained Endoscopy nursing staff and anesthesia staff. Pill Cam available also. The medical staff is in full support of the addition.
Several major cities including Roanoke Virginia Bristol-Kingsport Tennessee and Winston-Salem North Carolina are within a two-hour drive and offer plenty of opportunities for sports concerts fine dining and cultural events.
