This Family Practice (w/OB) opportunity in Grand Rapids, Minnesota is offered as a hospital- or clinic-employed position, one of several practice structures under which this permanent role is available (alongside solo-independent, single-specialty group, and multi-specialty group options). As an employed physician, you would be a W-2 employee of the hospital, clinic, or management services organization, which administers your compensation, benefits, malpractice coverage, and scheduling, and provides the clinical facility, staff, and referral infrastructure. This arrangement is designed to minimize business and administrative responsibilities so you can focus on clinical work.
Compensation for this role can be structured as an income guarantee, straight employment, an employment agreement with production bonus, or contract, and the financial offering is listed as Open.
Emergency department call is 1:6 or better. The role is open to physicians who are Board Certified or Board Eligible, trained as MD or DO, and either American or foreign medical graduates who are U.S. citizens or green card holders, across a range of experience levels from those currently in training to very experienced physicians.

The Essentia Primary Care
Physician works as a leader of a Care Team. Utilizing Essentia Care Processes,
the physician works collaboratively with other health care team members to
achieve patient care objectives and to provide continuity of care for patients
and families.
• We are building a team of 4 MD’s and 4 Nurse
Practitioners to inhabit what will be a brand new, 24 exam room, state of the
art, facility.
• Our Grand Rapids team works in close collaboration
with existing Deer River team of 5 MD’s (15 minutes away).
• Physician led practice
• OB Call = 1:6 with other FM/OB’s
• Clinic and prenatal done in Grand Rapids.
Deliveries done at Essentia Health, Deer River Hospital; a modern, 20 bed, Critical
Access Hospital, with 24/7 ER physician coverage and Nurse Triage.
• Hospitalist Coverage = 1 week every 6 weeks –
done in Deer River.
• Optional Opportunities: C-sections, ER work,
colposcopies, endoscopies, stress tests and EGD’s.
