Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant A-Team Solutions is looking for a Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant services to be performed in the Urgent Care or Emergency Room at the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility located in Chinle, AZ of the Indian Health Service (IHS). As a Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to American Indian and Alaska Native beneficiaries. Duties include documenting observations, assessments, and changes in patient's condition; collaborating with health team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes; providing a full range of nursing care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavior problems; and accountable for meeting and maintaining the qualification standards and functional statements of competency standards. Our facility is seeking individuals who possess good organizational skills which enable completion of work, a demonstrated ability to assume leadership in a patient centered program, and the ability to establish effective communication with patients, families, visitors and members of the interdisciplinary team. Experience. The Candidate shall have thirty-six (36) months of Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant experience, with a minimum of twelve months (12) in the specialty required by the contract. Requirements: -Candidate shall have completed residency training and experience in Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Programs. -License/Registration. The Candidate shall be board certified in Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant and shall possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in any state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States, throughout the term of this contract. If the Candidate is asked to perform outside the normal training parameters of his/her specialty, then the Candidate shall provide certification of hospital privileges in those additional field/s of practice. -Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. If required by the position, the Candidate shall possess a valid state driver’s license throughout the term of this contract. The Candidate shall meet the qualification and credentialing standards: -The Candidate shall maintain a valid, current, full and unrestricted DEA license and maintain certification throughout the term of the contract. -Certifications. The Candidate shall provide evidence of current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and any additional certifications as appropriate to each specialty. Health Requirements/Conditions of Employment: -Medical Evaluation. The Candidate shall provide a fitness for duty certificate issued by a licensed physician to perform the proposed job without significant risk to personal health or the health and safety of others. -Immunization. The Candidate shall provide evidence of immunization for MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rebella, Diphtheria, Pertussis and Tetanus), Tdap booster, Hepatitis B, PPD status and influenza or as required or as required by NAIHS immunization policy. -Language Requirements and Cultural Awareness. The Candidate shall read, understand, speak, and write English to effectively communicate with patients and other health care workers, and shall be respectful of the local, American Indian and Alaska Native culture. -Information Technology Skills.
