Family Practice group in North Central Massachusetts is looking for a new physician. The group has 3 physicians. You will work 36 hours a week. The call is 1 in 7. This position is predominately outpatient work. The hospital has a hospitalist that handles the vast majority of all patients admitted. The family practice physicians currently handle pediatric admissions and Transitional Care/ Rehab only. The census is extremely low and really nonexistent most of the time. . It is just such a small amount that it doesn't really impact the providers at all. The 1 in 7 call is for phone call unless there is a need for one of the admissions I mentioned above. Again the volume is so low and it can really be done over the phone and then the provider can go in the next morning if necessary. The hospital has 130 beds and has the following physician specialties on staff: Cardiology Pulmonology Gastrology Neurology OB/Gyn and Orthopedics. The service area is 35k. This is an employed position by the group. They are offering $170000 plus bonuses. The hospital covers the malpractice insurance tail insurance relocation medical dental life 4 weeks vacation 1 week CME CME 10 holidays and bonuses based on productivity.
