Emergency Medicine Physician

Our client in Southeast Texas is currently looking for locums Emergency Medicine Physician to join their facility.  

Requirements:

• To be eligible for core privileges to work in the FSED, the applicant must meet the following:
  • Successful completion of ACGME or AOA accredited postgraduate training program in EM, IM, FP or GS AND current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification by the American Medical Boards or American Osteopathic Boards in EM, IM, FP or GS. 
  • If not ABEM certified, applicant must have significant hospital emergency department experience defined as experience in an emergency department of at least 10K visits in the previous year.  AND obtain board certification within the longer of the following two time periods: 
    • A) Within 5 years of appointment to the Staff or
    • B) Within the time period permitted by the applicable certifying board after appointment unless a member of the facility’s Medical Staff prior to July 1, 2005.   Reappointment - minimum of 20 consults in each 2 year period.
• Minimum 5 shifts per month
