Emergency Medicine Physician

Our client in Southeastern Kentucky is in need of locum tenens Emergency Medicine Physicians.

Responsibilities:

• Working primarily in emergency rooms, Emergency Medicine Physicians (locum tenens) are tasked with making high stakes life management decisions in times of immediate crisis.
• EM Physicians regularly deal with complex trauma and exotic conditions, and are highly trained in the stabilization and treatment of a wide range of both adult and pediatric injuries and illnesses.

Requirements:

• Completed Residency (Does not have to BC or BE). Our client wants FP/IM Physicians.
• ACLS, PALS, ATLS
• 300 hours ED experience in the last 3 years
• Kentucky DEA
• Local providers only

Practice Details:

• Single physician coverage in 12 & 24-hour shifts, 8a and 8p
• Single mid-level coverage. 10-12 hrs of MLP coverage daily
• Procedures: Intubations, Central Lines, Chest Tubes
• Bridge orders for admits
• Codes are required
• Providers will do procedures
