Position: Full-Time Urgent Care Physician
Location: Northwest Indiana (Less than 1 hour from Chicago)
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family Medicine and/or Emergency Medicine.
- Recent experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine preferred.
- ACLS/PALS/BLS certifications required, or willingness to become certified.
- Comfortable seeing patients of all ages with a volume of approximately 30 patients per day.
Responsibilities:
- Provide urgent evaluation and treatment of patients, including potentially critically ill patients.
- Proficient in reading basic x-rays of all body parts.
- Perform laceration repair and wound care.
- Interpret basic ECGs and other test results.
- Ensure appropriate transport of critically ill patients to the closest Emergency Room Department.
Schedule:
- Clinic Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Saturday – Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Holiday hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- 7 shifts per pay period, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and 10-hour weekend shifts.
- Scheduled hours: 35 hours per week.
- No Call Expectation.
Patient Volume:
- Average outpatient volume: 30 - 35 patients per shift, depending on season
Facility Information:
- Open 363 days per year.
- On-site Equipment: EKG, POCT, Hospital Radiation Department, CT Department.
