Assistant Medical Director Overview: Sutter Solano Medical Center (SSMC) is a busy 23 bed department with an average of 38,000 patients annually. There are 27 hours of physician coverage and 30 hours of AHP coverage daily. We are looking for an exceptional emergency medicine physician to become the Associate Medical Director at the site. In addition to a full complement of shifts, the Associate Medical Director will work closely with the Medical Director to support VEP Healthcare’s agenda of high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care. The Associate Medical Director responsibilities may include leadership in various performance improvement initiatives, representation of the ED on hospital committees, coverage for the ED Medical Director when he or she is not available, ED provider scheduling, and other activities. The successful candidate should have significant experience in some or all of these areas, as well as the ability to work collegially and productively with ED staff, other departments, and hospital leaders.
