Interventional Cardiologist Needed to Join Group in Rural Southeast Georgia!!  JOB #  6468114

This Regional Medical Center in rural southeast GA has opened a search for a board certified or board eligible interventional cardiologist to

  • Join three other interventional cardiologists and
  • Four mid-levels in two locations.  
  • we employ two outpatient only cardiologists in the same two locations. 
  • This is an immediate opening created by growing demand with our ever expanding service area plus the departure of one of our excellent interventional cardiologists who is relocating in order to be close to his immediate family. 
  • Call will be no more than 1:3. 
  • The selected candidate will be employed within our corporation and we currently employ approximately 75 excellent providers who could basically practice anywhere in the country. 
  • Many of these employed providers are primary care so there is an excellent built-in referral base.  
Additionally, our system is surrounded by smaller hospitals that are supported by primary care physicians only and often use our specialists.  Our medical center is the smallest hospital in Georgia with a free standing interventional cath lab.  We offer the latest in technology to include EKOS, ECMO and integrated Siemens C arm to include IVUS and FFR.   We also offer the full service line in cardiology to include, TEE, ECHO, vascular, nuclear, and CTA.

There are probably very few rural hospitals/systems like ours in the country.  We have gone from 350 employees to 1,100 in the last several years.  We have a substantial number of specialists who are supported by the regional primary care base. 
The hospital continues to expand as a regional medical center, We will do whatever is necessary to land the candidate we want. We are a great family community, 90 minutes from the coast, no smog, snow, traffic and every doctor who has moved here will say the schools are good.
We are the medical center of choice in our region. We have the newest and most modern hospital in the SE with technology most metropolitan hospitals have yet to purchase. Our community is a wonderful family community as evidence by the quality of physicians we have moved here over the last several years.
