Medstaff National Medical Staffing holds the government contract to provide Anesthesia Services at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX. Our contract provides for program coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Providers’ work schedules vary from 8 to 17.5 hour shifts daily. Malpractice is through the Government.
The contract requirements are:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Requires Board Certification by ABA
- Hold any unrestricted State License and DEA
- BLS Certification – by American Heart Association
- 5 out of the past 10 years of General Anesthesia experience
- 5 years of experience in managing cardiac, pediatric, critical care and trauma patients
- Minimum 4 years of direct involvement in anesthesia residency education with experience as a resident mentor or core faculty member
- Be able to perform a full range of anesthesia to include, but not limited to cardiac, thoracic, vascular, burn and neuro anesthesia, as well as pain management
