We serve only adults 18 yo and up. Our program has the capacity for a total of 36 inpatients. Currently we are staffing to a max of 24 due to needing providers. We serve a Geri-Psych population as well as General Adult. Our service line looks like this:
Gero Psych
General Adult
PTSD
Co-occurring disorders ( Mental Illness accompanied by a substance use disorder)
Active Duty.
We address our active duty personnel as a specific track, not because their illness is different, but because the approach to treatment is different due to some of the unique aspects of their vocation and the interaction with military providers.
We also have a very busy outpatient service that serves > 1300 patients on a monthly basis. Assisting with medication management, group and individual therapy.
Avg patient to provider load is 8-10 pts based on acuity.
We manage some of our patients medical comorbidities, however do not keep any one on the unit that is not hemodynamically stable.
We are in search of Perm providers, as well as locum providers.
We also have recently completed an “On the unit courtroom” so we have municipal judges and staff that come to our unit to hold guardianship hearings, POA hearings as well as commitment hearings.
Our avg length of stay is 8-12 days, however, due to some challenges in finding placement for some of our elderly patients, their lengths of stay may be a bit longer depending on the availability of open beds in facilities.
