Permanent Psychiatry: General Job in Florida

Full-Time psychiatrist could expect to arrive for a 9:00am “huddle” on their respective unit for a brief run-down with Clinical Services and Nursing staff to discuss patient plans for the day (who’s discharging, who’s new, any special concerns for current patients). The doctor would then see to their discharges, new patients and then any follow ups to be seen. Treatment team meetings are held daily with the physician, patient, charge nurse, and clinician depending on those patients requiring treatment team. Clinical Services coordinates this for the physician. Having treatment team daily seems to prove more effective for the doctors and clinicians and cuts down on the number of patients on the treatment team list as opposed to a three day a week schedule.
