The Behavioral Health Unit is a locked unit designed to assist families and patients through a crisis. We recognize that having to be hospitalized creates a stressful situation for both patients and their families, so our goal is to provide rapid evaluation and appropriate treatment in a safe environment. Family members play important roles as support persons and advocates. With the patient's permission, we like to include family members in the patient's care.
While in the Behavioral Health Unit, patients are cared for by a multidisciplinary team of experts, including doctors, nurses, social workers, physical therapists, dietitians, chaplains and more.
Reason for Coverage Need: Staff Shortage

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
8a – 7p (regular shift schedule—no call)
7p Friday through 8a Saturday (Call)
Saturday
8a – 7p (regular shift schedule – no call)
7p Saturday through 8a Sunday (Call)
Sunday
8a – 7p (regular shift schedule—no call)
7p Sunday through 8a Monday (Call)
Monday & Tuesday
8a – 7p (regular shift schedule—no call)
Trauma Level: III; there are four behavioral health treatment rooms
Facility Size: 14 Bed Unit
Charting/Dictation: EPIC – provider will be required to complete a full day of orientation prior to their first scheduled shift
Travel & Lodging will be taken care of
