Minimum Qualifications of ED Physicians Staff I . The candidate must have received the degree from an accredited college or university in the specialty training required for licensure. 2. For foreign medical graduates, evidence and verification of the ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) certificate, Fifth Pathway, or USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) 3. Active, Current, Unrestricted state Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy license from any of the 50 United States and Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. 4. Active, Current, state license for Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner 5. Active, Current, DEA Registration 6. The candidate is not under any sanction or exclusion from Medicare I Medicaid programs. 7. The candidate has provided Emergency Department medical care for the period of 12 consecutive months prior to presentation 8. Emergency Medicine Board Certified or eligible 9. No less than 5 years' experience working in an Emergency Department 10. Competent to deliver babies 11. Competent to manage newborns 12. Competent to manage substance abuse issues 13. Manage suicide ideations
