Permanent Psychiatry: Child & Adolescent Job in Merrillville, Indiana

Physician – Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (Outpatient) 200K+

Lake County, Indiana

Community mental health center is currently looking for a Board Eligible/Certified Psychiatrist with an interest in outpatient psychiatry to fill an opening in northwest Indiana. Ideal candidates will hold a current unrestricted license in the state of Indiana or applied and have Board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry. Psychiatry residents and fellows are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (Outpatient)

• 100% outpatient care to children & adolescents patients.

• Provide 20-30 minute medication management and 60-90 minute initial evaluations.

• Call rotated between 10 psychiatrists.

• Perform Evaluations and Medical Checks.

• Provide Education to patients, families, and the community.

• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (Outpatient)

• Medical degree; M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent

• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program

• Licensed for the practice of medicine in the State of Indiana OR able to obtain

• Board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry

• Experience with EHR is preferred

• Possess the core values of integrity, competence, compassion, and creativity

• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately and set appropriate boundaries and limits with clients

Compensation for the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (Outpatient)

The starting annual salary for the Child & Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatrist is 210,000+ depending on experience and certification.
