Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Needed – Fairfield County, CT – 45 minutes to NYC
Non-profit psychiatric hospital in Fairfield County, CT, is recruiting a full-time Child & Adolescent psychiatrist to lead its established, adolescent residential treatment program. The total program includes an adolescent IOP and onsite school program. Patients are 13 through 17 years of age with a wide range of non-psychotic disorders. The full-time staff includes a senior social worker, junior social worker, a senior residential counselor, 24-hour staffing with additional residential counselors, education specialists and part-time psychologist. A comprehensive diagnostic assessment and work with families are important parts of the program.
The adolescent residential program is structured as a 6-week program, located on our beautiful 42 acre country campus in a newly renovated, 10-bed house. The Hospital also has a 10-bed, adolescent inpatient unit led by its own C&A psychiatrist and the two programs work collaboratively.
We offer competitive compensation, attractive benefits and provide malpractice insurance for both the Hospital and private practice. Psychiatrists may maintain an independent private practice either on or off site.

Founded in 1931 we are an academic affiliate of the Yale University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and are located on Connecticut’s “Gold Coast.” The area is well known for its excellent school system and its wide range of architecture from the Harvard Five modern homes to historic New England colonials and farms as well as many stately mansions and tended estates. Located just 40 miles north of New York City, the area boasts a signature town center with premiere shopping, classic boutiques and an elaborate display of lights for the holidays.
