Permanent Family Practice (w/o OB) Job in Sacramento, California

Apply and modify the principles, methods and techniques of medicine to provide primary patient care. . Cooperate with management in the direction of all clinic activities to ensure accomplishment of all clinic objectives. Evaluate medical procedures and everyday situations and suggest ways to improve delivery of service and profitability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide medical treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries. Chart all patient transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures. May supervise Physicians Assistants to assure compliance of all applicable regulations. If Applicable instruct and direct the physicians assistant in the assistants duties, oversee and check the assistants work and provide general direction to the assistant. Be available within 15 minutes either in person or by telecommunication for consultation with the assistant. Comply with ethical, legal & professional issues. Comply with applicable regulations and with corporate policies and procedures. Comply with quality assurance for all medical issues and assist in the solution of any medical problems. EDUCATION Degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from a U.S. accredited institution. EXPERIENCE Previous experience in Industrial Medicine, Emergency Medicine or General Practice. Preferred. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION Current license to practice medicine in the State; current certificate to supervise X-ray technicians; current certificate to supervise Physician Assistants; if required, current controlled substances registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Department of Justice.
