Orthopedic Surgeon
Our client is currently in need of locums Orthopedic Surgeon to help their facility over Memorial Day as the world’s largest 3-on-3 football journey will take place in Southeast New Mexico. Routinely, the facility gets 6-10 surgeries, and many more ER visits from this event.
Requirements:
- M.D. degree
- Must be Board Certified
- Fellowship preferred
Practice Details:
- Practice Setting: Both inpatient and outpatient
- Coverage Type: Call Only
- Call Type: Beeper
- Call Response Time Required: 30 minutes
- 100% Hands On
- Locums call is for both assigned and unassigned patients
- Average Call Numbers per 24 Hours
- Phone Consults: 8-14
- Patients Seen: 5-6
- Hours/Shifts: On call starts at 6am, Saturday and call shift ends at 8am, Monday
- Rounding: Both assigned and unassigned patients
- Procedures:
- Dislocation Closed Reduction (except hip and knee)
- Complex (closed reduction)
- Complex (open reduction)
- Dislocation Open Reduction
- Simple (no reduction)
- Dislocation Closed Reduction (hip and knee)
- Hand Surgery – Minor Trauma
- Simple (reduction needed)
- Foreign Body Removal
- Fracture Repair (excluding oral, facial, spinal)
- Provider will not be required to supervise other healthcare providers
