Locum Tenens Hospitalist: Nocturnist Job in Oxford, Mississippi

Daily Physician coverage: 4 Physicians 7a-7p; 1 physician in-house 7p-7a

Dates:  March Ongoing

The Facility:

217 bed hospital
20 ICU beds- ICU open but Pulmonary admits to unit as well

The admits overnight range from 5 to 13
Average census: 70
7 on 7 off block schedule
Nocturnist schedule-no additional coverage. The Nocturnist has been temporarily admitting all the ICU patients at night but this is likely to change.
EMR Epic
ICU is co-managed. HM admits to the ICU and consult CC if needed. CC also admits their own patients depending on the illness.

Requirements:

BC/BE in IM or BC/BE in FP with proven competencies in hospital medicine; central lines
Procedures are not required but would be a bonus.  ED and critical care can be called to help with procedures if needed.
Hospitalists and ED respond to codes together.
Must be BC prior to 5th year of post grad
