Permanent Psychiatry: General Job in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Dedicated Board Certified Psychiatrist  for Regional Medical Director of Mental Health Services .  You can work out of South Beach or Fort LauderdaleSensitivity to the issues surrounding HIV & AIDs is important for this position 

As Regional Medical Director of Mental Health Services you will direct the overall Mental Health Services program in the Southern Bureau (Florida, Georgia and several other Southeastern states) and establish protocols that assure timely evaluation and management of AHF clients in need of mental health services. 


You will split your time  providing direct patient care/psychiatric medication management  in South Florida. 60% of the time. 


You will spend 40% of your time in an administrative capacity where you will work in collaboration with the National Medical Director of Mental Health Services, The Southern Regional Medical Director, members of the Health Care Center leadership teams, the Director of Nursing, and various external grantor agencies and mental health services organizations. 


You will travel up to 20% of the time.


 Fluency in English-Spanish or English-Creole, preferred.


Candidate must be  Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry with preferably a  minimum of 3 years of related experience, after completion of residency training programs
