General Psychiatry Job Opening – Tupelo, MS  #2321

Major medical facility is seeking two Psychiatrists to join 3 others for their well-established and successful hospital employed practice.  There is a possible Medical Director role/stipend for an experienced physician.  This is a 42 bed inpatient unit with an average daily census of 38 patients, and includes a 20 bed geriatric unit.

Geriatric fellows are encouraged to apply for either position.  There is no child/adolescent census.  Hospital is a regional tertiary care facility, and draws a wide spectrum of patients.  Practice includes virtually all aspects of psychiatric care, including traditional inpatient, outpatient and partial hospitalization. 

This is a chance to practice big city psychiatry in a serene and safe small city setting.  Call will be a very manageable 1 in 5.  Hospital is offering a very competitive salary and complete benefits package, including paid malpractice insurance, health/dental insurance, CME, PTO, 401k relocation assistance, and much more.

This position is specific for a Board Prepared or Board Certified Psychiatrist.  Requirements then are that the successful candidate would have a degree as an M.D. or D.O. with proven residency training in Psychiatry.
