This hospital system is located strategically between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.  

This Health System is looking for a General Psychiatrist to work primarily in an outpatient setting. 
You will also assist in both emergency room and hospital consults, and will work with another seasoned Psychiatrist as well as two Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. 

This hospital has served the community for more than 50 years.  The complex opened in 1960 as a 60-bed community based hospital.  The system has grown to a 500-bed multi-location care center.  

More than 200 physicians represent 38 specialties here.  This is an outstanding opportunity to join a busy practice where you can make a difference.

Psychiatrists must be BE/BC in Psychiatry and have an active Louisiana Medical License.  This is an immediate need and candidates with quick availability will have preference.

This position is specific for a Board Prepared or Board Certified Psychiatrist.  Requirements then are that the successful candidate would have a degree as an M.D. or D.O. with proven residency training in Psychiatry.
