Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Job in Missouri

Emergency Medicine Physician

Our client in Western Missouri is currently in need of locum tenens Emergency Medicine Physician to join their team.

Requirements:

  • Board Eligible or Certified by ABEM/AOBEM or Board Certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine with 1+ year ED experience  
  • ATLS; must be current, no 6 month grace period
  • 8 Trauma-related CMES; of these 8, 4 must be PEDS trauma related. This is for the year, not over the last 2 years. So if it is 2016, they need all CMEs for 2016. It does not go back for the last 12 months. For example, facility cannot accept August 2015 Trauma CMES, only January 2016 to present. 
  • If ATLS was taken in the current year, CMEs are not required. ATLS is sufficient enough. Example, ATLS course taken on 1/01/2016, no CMEs are required.
  • Also, ATLS does not trump the ACLS & PALS requirement. Per MSO,  trauma CME requirement must be fulfilled by 9/1/2016. For future applicants, they need to have all requirements completed prior to the application process or privileges will be postponed until CMEs are obtained. They are applying for a level 3 trauma designation.
  • Licensing candidates are acceptable, but facility will not proceed with all of the credentialing until the license is in hand
  • Minimum 5 shifts per month

Practice Details:

  • Shift Times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
  • Shift Coverage: 11a-11p
