Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Job in Miami, Florida

Emergency Medicine locums ABEM/ABIM/ABFP or other specialties with strong EM experience accepted Midlevel providers are NOT needed at this time for cruise coverage** ANY state license accepted Ports are USA and International; All travel to/from port is covered; spouse/guest will pay for own travel to/from ship. Spouse/Guest: pays $7/day plus port fees; typical price is $150-$200 for their spouse/guest Paid as a 1099 $12,600 (This rate covers one cruise. However, if a provider takes on more than 1 cruise per month you will only be paid the flat fee stated; be it one per month or 3-4 per month…rate remains a one-time fee. Most docs space out their cruises 1-5 per year taking 1 per month to make $12,600.) Paid with direct deposit, every 2 weeks or cash given on board (their choice) Malpractice is $1M/$3M with an indemnity clause for the provider (An indemnity contract arises when one individual takes on the obligation to pay for any loss or damage that has been or might be incurred by another individual) 5, 7 or 9 day cruises available CV presented for review/approval by Director of cruise (MD); typical response within 3-5 days. 30 days or less to credential (based on speed of provider returning documents and obtaining references); ANY malpractice settlement info or NPDB entry info MUST be presented up front with CV** Doctor will be 2nd highest ranking on the ship; 2nd to Captain with 4 stripes. White uniform (provided by ship) will be worn for clinic hours showing their 4-stripe status Accommodations: As a top officer of ship, they’ll be staying in a Jr./Sr. Officer cabin with an assigned room steward Food/Drinks (non-alcohol) are FREE; no alcohol consumption while on board (if emergency were to happen, provider must be sober and not inhibited from alcohol) Clinic Hours: Both an Morning and early evening sick clinic; 2-3 hours Call: single or double coverage based on cruise. If single, provider will cover call 24/7. If double, they’ll rotate every 24hrs for call Support Staff: 3 ICU RN’s with 3 yrs. experience minimum. 3 ward beds. 2 ICU. Procedure room. Mobile X-Ray; all but CT. On-board labs. On-board Pharmacy. Tele med available if needed. Ports: Provider is encouraged to take small excursions when porting. 40% discount given at ship gift shop to provider. Specific procedures and tasks range from minimum (bumps and bruises) to extreme (stroke, heart attack, and neck brace) Orientation 2 days before ship departure for first cruise; to required after 1st orientation unless you book a larger ship for 2nd+ cruise. Uniform issued during orientation
