Permanent Psychiatry: General Job in Sheridan, Wyoming

- Psychiatrist
Responsibilities (duties include, but are not limited to)
Physician care shall cover the
range of Psychiatry services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian
medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality,
meeting or exceeding currently recognized TJC, VA and national standards.
- Physical Assessments.
- Psychiatric Evaluations and Mental Status Exams
- Psychotherapy
- Pharmacotherapy
- Consultation
- Clinical Supervision
- General Medical Condition Care
- Group Psychotherapy
- Behavior Therapy
- Family Therapy
- Treatment Team meetings
- Discharge Planning
- Referring patients to specialty care
- Histories and physicals, order prescriptions, labs, x-rays,
and other pertinent tests,
- Complete documentation requirements in a timely manner as per
policy.
- Completion of consults on other inpatient locations at the
facility, and occasionally evaluates outpatients for medication.
Qualifications
-
Physician must have a current license
to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United
States or the District of Columbia. All
licenses held must be full and unrestricted licenses.

Physician must be board certified by
the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Board Eligible Physicians may
be considered. Board eligibility is defined as anyone who is within 1-4 years
of completing their residency.
- Physician must be certified in Basic
Life Support (BLS) as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA).
