Permanent Pediatrics: Child Development Job in Ohio

Recruiting for an additional child abuse pediatrician to join our expanding department.  Successful candidates must be board certified/board eligible in child abuse pediatrics, have completed a pediatric child abuse fellowship and hold an unrestricted medical license in Ohio.  This is a full time, hospital-employed position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

This physician will join an existing child abuse team of one full-time child abuse pediatrician, social workers, nurses, and staff in 3 community-based child advocacy centers in the region.  Responsibilities include outpatient clinics on and off campus, inpatient consultation assessment, shared call coverage, education of medical students and residents, research, expert testimony and working collaboratively with law enforcement, children’s services and other community agencies.

The hospital is a not-for-profit 155-bed regional pediatric referral center and is the only facility in the region devoted to the health, safety and information needs of children and their families.

The Children's hospital serves a 20-county region that includes Ohio and eastern Indiana and they have an affiliation with the University's  School of Medicine. Additionally, they are accredited by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations which ensures patients the finest pediatric care available.

The hospital has a staff of over 350 physicians and residents, which includes primary care pediatricians as well as sub-specialists in over 35 areas of pediatric medicine. Working in collaboration with the medical staff is a team of more than 1,300 employees and volunteers who share a commitment to quality care.
