Matrix Providers is hiring a Physician - Gastroenterologist to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in Killeen, Ft. Hood TX

- Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly . $190-200/hr

Schedule: Schedules can be scheduled by the government for 8, 10, and 12 hour shifts. On occasion when necessary for patient care, may be required to work a 16 hr shift. This will require 1- 2 weekends/mo.
- Schedule does require On Call. Provider is not required to remain at a place of residence while on call, but shall be available by government furnished beeper, pager, cell phone, or a personal
cell phone during on-call periods. Provider may be called in if necessary.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Requirements: The Physician must have and meet the following:
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
- Education: Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or
approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical
Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the
American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with
evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)
certification
- Certification: Board Certified in Gastroenterology. DoD only recognizes certifications issued by boards that are members of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the AOA Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists., American Board of Internal Medicine (ADIM).
- Internship/Residency: Internship/Residency/Fellowship. Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Experience: Shall possess a minimum of three (3) years of post-residency clinical experience within the last four (4) years providing direct patient care in gastroenterology. Experience must demonstrate recent hands-on proficiency in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing full range of gastrointestinal disorders in accordance with current clinical standards of practice. Background shall reflect competency in performing and interpreting GI diagnostic procedures, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
