ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 70% • Using medical training, skills and clinical judgment provides timely, responsive urgent care to patients who present to the Walk-In Clinic consistent with Everett Clinic core values. • Works in a variety all of the clinical care Walk In sites. • Adopts and participates in improving WIC protocols, clinical pathways and standard work. • Works cooperatively in a team based model with ARNP’s, PA’s, and other staff. • Attends required departmental meetings and training. Other Requirements: 30% • Promotes positive interpersonal relationships with fellow employees, physicians and patients. • Ensures confidentiality of patient information. • Has regular and predictable attendance. • Performs other duties as assigned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Current knowledge of adult and pediatric urgent care. Able to manage a reasonable Urgent Care pace (30 patients per 12 hours). Able to use EPIC (electronic medical record). Able to make accurate clinical decisions in a high paced setting. Able to manage stressful situations with composure. Education: Board Certified required. Training in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred. Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in medical practice. Walk In, urgent care preferred. Certificate/License: Washington State Medical License. Board Certification and recertification if applicable. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 12 hours or more of standing, walking, potential lifting, computer documentation. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Can be chaotic and stressful. CONTACT RELATIONSHIPS: Medical staff, patients and families, nursing, reception, managers, Labor and Industry.
