Locum Tenens Psychiatry: General Job in Memphis, Tennessee

Medstaff National Medical Staffing is submitting a bid to provide contract psychiatrist services to the VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN.  This contract requires 5 full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrists to work on site to serve beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the VAMC Memphis.  This contract will have a base period of July, 2020 through 12/1/2020 with an additional 4 Option Years (through 11/20/20205).

Requirements:

• Any unrestricted state medical license is accepted.  
• Requires Board Eligible (within 7 years of residency)  or Board Certified status.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (or equivalency).
• Must have the training and registration which allows for prescribing medications such as, but not limited to, Clozapine, Buprenorphine, or Esketamine.

Duties:

• General mental Health clinic operations Monday-Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm Central time
• Inpatient Psychiatry:  M-F, 8 am to 5 pm
• Specialty Clinics:  M-F, 8 am to 4:30 pm .  Specialty clinics include:  Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery center (PRRC), Mental Health Intensive Case management (MHICM), PTSD clinic, and Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs. 
• The Psychiatrist may be assigned to one of the surrounding CBOCs.  Additionally, the psychiatrist must be able to see patients in all available modalities (face-to-face, Telehealth, or VA Video Connect).
